20 October 2022 – HMHB, in conjunction with the Indonesian Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation Technical Advisory Group (MMS-TAG) and Vitamin Angels-Indonesia, organized its first-ever in-person MMS Regional Meeting from 10-13 October 2022 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The meeting convened leading nutrition and health actors and regional champions. They discussed critical actions needed to support progress on scaling up MMS, ultimately improving women’s health in the country and region.
The meeting focused on sharing information, experiences and lessons learned on MMS policy, advocacy, and implementation at regional and country levels, transforming them into tools for new countries, establishing connections with partners for support, advocating for the inclusion of MMS in national policies, and accelerated investment in the manufacture, distribution, and use of MMS at the country level and establish a regional MMS Network of Practice.
Attended by over 100 participants from the Asia region and from around the world, the meeting generated significant momentum to kick-start national efforts to adopt and scale MMS.
